Day 2 is a tough one. I woke to loud sounds of growling coming from beneath my sheets, but fear not! My stomach is a tamable beast. As I hustled to class, I forgot all about food. Then I sat down.

As my professor proceeded to speak about the various types of liens that can be held against property, my mind proceeded to have a field day - bringing up memories of flavors and tastes, which all culminated with my persisting hunger.

During my 3.5 hour break between classes, I usually have lunch, so breaking that habit in itself was a bit difficult. To help distract myself, I focused on various bits of school work to get my mind off food. Unfortunately, when I would take a break, Instagram's brain implants were able to detect my incessant hunger and bombarded my feed with food. Everything from tacos to protein bowls to macarons to pizza, I was tormented.

I was also saddened when my last fellow faster, my brother (what up Buddy), had to abandon the fast due to unforeseen circumstances (feeling too hungry). Although I am the last of four standing (two didn't even start), I am feeling good and confident I can go the entire length of the fast. Granted, if I do begin shuttering and fail to keep awake in class, I will adjust accordingly, but my plan is to make it the full five.

Anyways, I'm staying strong today. My body surprisingly does not feel overly fatigued. In terms of physical activity, I kept it relatively low-key, only walking to and from class. Still taking my cold showers (shoutout 75 Hard). Can't wait for tomorrow morning - the official halfway point!

As I weighed in tonight, my numbers are looking as though they have begun to level off.

Day 2: 9:11 pm

172.0 lbs

6.2% body fat

49.1% muscle mass

Can't wait to update you on what tomorrow has in store!
